Hello,

changing/modifying the original page even if it is a slight thing or not direct while the page is in progress will change the Trans-unit IDs, which will corrupt the translation partially or totally.

You don't have to delete the broken versions first, the important thing is don't make this step or any changes related to the page while the page is in progress.

Best regards,
Ahmed Mamdouh.

Hi, these instructions did not work either. We re-sent a batch of 10 translations this morning; did not make any changes on the site while Bilingva processed them and sent them back; and when I synced them this evening, the translations still did not match up, leaving the same result as before.

I have restored the server to immediately before syncing the new batch so you can attempt the sync.

I'll be online for at least the next 6 hours if you have questions as you troubleshoot.

Hello,

I checked the issue and I can confirm that there is no issue with Syncing the jobs, I was able to sync the jobs successfully and I think you did it before me.

So I took a sample job "The Spanish Translation" and I compared the original XLIFF file and the Translated XLIFF file and I can confirm that the Issue is not coming from the XLIFF file.

So I'll escalate this ticket to our 2nd tier WPML supporter, and to allow them to debug this issue I’d like to replicate your site locally. For this, you'll need to temporarily install a plugin called "Duplicator" on your site. This will allow you to create a copy of your site and your content. You can provide me with the snapshot following these directions:
If you already know how Duplicator works ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ ), please skip the following steps and just send me the installer file and the zipped package you downloaded.

:: Duplicator instructions
hidden link

Send me both files (you probably will need to use DropBox, Google Drive, or similar services)

#Important:
As the snapshot file will be quite big, you can exclude the images if the file is very big, you can use the filters to exclude the uploads file and also use the filter to exclude any compressed files with these extensions .rar, .gz and .zip )

I will set the next reply as a private reply so you can provide a link to download the duplicator package.

Best regards,
Ahmed Mamdouh.

Hello,

We investigated the issue deeply and we found that the translated XLIFF file is a missing tag as shown in the attached screenshot and this is the root cause of the issue.

I don't know why exactly this piece of code is missing, maybe the CAT tool you are using deleted it, but anyway you should keep this code in the translated XLIFF file to have the translation without any corruption.

So right now, you need to fix the translated XLIFF files and re-upload them in the translation hub, and from the website, you need to click the "check status and get translations" button to retrieve the updated translation.

Best regards,
Ahmed Mamdouh.
