We are planning to use Customer Reviews for WooCommerce (hidden link) with WPML - but only in the translated localized version, not in the native language, because there we are using a third party plugin for reviews. In detail: We want to activate the Customer Reviews Plugin only for the translations and show stars beneath the product title and the widgets only in the translated version. I am not sure if this is possible without probs, as we are using variable products, where some fields cannot be changed in the translation (see screenshot). The products are the same in the native and the translated version. You have experience if the use for such a plugin only in the translations is possible? |

Hi, Thank you for contacting the support. Unfortunately this isn't how WPML works. You need to have content in default language, then translated and then can chose to display accordingly. But still to hide it on default language while showing on translation, requires some custom efforts. While, as per your requirements, you are using entirely a different one on default language and want to integrate another directly in the translated ones. This requires completely custom approach, which is out of the scope of this forum. WPML offers filters and action hooks that can be used in your WordPress theme or plugin to suite your needs. Browse following resources for more information: - https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-coding-api/ If you need additional custom work, we recommend you contact WPML Contractors at https://wpml.org/contractors/. Regards. |

For the other question, I recommend opening a separate ticket because as per forum policy we can only handle one issue per ticket. So others looking for a particular solution can find it easily. |
