This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client wants to display all products in Portuguese on the Spanish site using WPML, even if they are not translated.
Solution:
To achieve this, we recommend duplicating the products in bulk from Portuguese to Spanish. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Make a full backup of your site.
2. Navigate to WPML -> Translation Management and select the Post Type 'Products'.
3. Increase the number of items per page in the screen options at the right top corner if necessary.
4. Select all products in the list.
5. At the bottom of the page, in the 'Select translation options' section, mark 'Duplicate content' and click on the 'Duplicate' button that appears.
This operation might take a few minutes depending on the number of products you are duplicating.
After completing these steps, you will have an exact copy of the products in the secondary language.
If you decide to translate these products in the future, you can follow the same steps but choose 'Translate' + 'Start translating' in the 'Select translation options' section. Then, use the 'Translation basket' tab to send for translation to the first available translator and assign those jobs to yourself for translation in WPML > Translations.
