I think there could be some issues:
- with the template of the category page in the German language
- conflict with a plugin or a block of code on your site (slug or something related)
I will ask my 2nd tier support about this if I cannot find what causes the issue.

Ok what did you change the site is down ? i started the plugins again for the time being as i think to know that they did not give the problem with divi and wpml, after testing this weekend.
I see the website is working properly now. I've tried to download the Extra theme and installed it on my local host but do not see that issue. So I think it's a specific issue on your site when the translation template is not updated correctly.

in directadmin i had a extra php setting for gzip manuel set i removed it and lost one of the errors i see when debug is on.
when i open a post in German with debug on i see this

I agree with your idea. There could be an issue with the post module in the category layout. I translate the News category in the German language manually and delete some sections that have the post module and then the category page displayed correctly on the frontend. hidden link
If this is a compatibility issue between the Extra theme and WPML, we will address that by reporting this to the compatibility team.

can the 2 or 3 line look at the remaining isseu of the postst in german who are broken?

what i think is that divi updated there extra template fields and added a new option. but WPML did not oversea that change so after implemantation of the WPML plugin the translation script sees the wrong fields to change, i say this because i use on a lot of posts the option to select "hide featured image" and after wpml this option is also unchecked.
So in short any post while wpml is ON is broken untill i change HIDE POST RATING to ON so not show and then is all works again..
the problem is that i am not doing this for 200-400 posts or something by hand.
