This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to translate a layout template created in Divi Theme Builder for product categories. However, when attempting to translate via Translation Management, the template appears blank with nothing to translate.
Solution:
We recommend making a small edit to the template in the default language and updating it. After this, try to translate it again. Check if any content is now visible when opening the translation editor. Ensure that the translation is completed to 100% and save it. Then, check the results on the front end.
For further guidance, we also provide documentation on how to work with Divi Builder and WPML:

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I created a layout template in Divi Theme Builder and added it to product categories. After that, I tried to translate via Translation management, but the Template is just blank, nothing to translate.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Hi there,

Please make a small edit to your template in the default language and update, then follow the steps again to translate it.

Do you see any content now when you open the translation editor?

Please make sure to get the translation to 100% and save it then let me know your results in the front end.

For reference here is our documentation as well:

It did some changes to the template but it's not appearing in the Translation Management. An other question maybe if it would be possible that I could change the content on the backend or in the Visual Builder, as they have some shortcodes, special items, lots of content, which should be changed quite often. 🙁

You can definitely do this with standard pages/posts, however, I am not 100% confident it's possible with the Divi templates.

Please try the following and let me know your results.

Go to your template and edit the template, on the right sidebar do you see an option to add a translation? If yes, switch to manual translation and manually edit the translation

see here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

If that does not work, try this:

go to the Divi template library and switch to the secondary language using the language switcher, do you see the template/layout available to edit now?

Let me know your results, please.

Hello Bobby, looks like we were able to solve this issue. Part of the problem was, that category names weren't translated. I hope it will be okay from now on. 🙂
Thank you for your help!
