Fatal error: Uncaught InvalidArgumentException: element_id and type do not match

Please check the following errata page and make sure that you see the same error mentioned there: https://wpml.org/errata/fatal-error-invalidargumentexception-element_id-and-type-do-not-match/ If yes, make sure that you have a full backup of the database and website then try the workaround mentioned in the errata page.
