[Resolved] Flavor attribute missing from Attributes tab
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was concerned about a missing 'Flavor' attribute in WooCommerce >> WooCommerce Multilingual > Attributes tab, which was not appearing alongside another attribute 'HS Codes'. Additionally, the client noticed values like '18 left' on the troubleshooting page, which they thought should be '0 left', and was unsure whether to address these.
Solution: We advised the client that if an attribute does not appear under Products -> Attributes in the WordPress dashboard, it will not be visible in the WooCommerce Multilingual -> Attributes tab. To resolve this, the client should manually add the missing 'Flavor' attribute from the product edit screen. However, this will not make it appear in the WooCommerce Multilingual -> Attributes tab. If the client feels that something might be wrong due to the missing attribute, we recommend adding it manually.
For the values like '18 left' seen on the troubleshooting page, these indicate items that may need attention. We suggest the client review each option that does not show '0 left' and press 'Start' to address them.

When I went to WooCommerce >> WooCommerce Multilingual > Attributes tab, there was one attribute "Flavor" missing, this is exactly the one that I am facing an issue with. But I chose the only attribut that I had there (HS Codes) and pressed the "Synchronize attributes, and update product variations". And then the problem was not there anymore.
But the missing attribute was bothering me. It feels like since it is missing maybe something is wrong (Screenshot 2024-02-11_17-05-32.png attached).
How can I solve it? I am not even sure that I need it, but like I said it makes me feel that something is wrong on my site.
Then on the troubleshouting page I have noticed that some options have values like "18 left" or "12 left" etc (Screenshot 2024-02-11_17-04-12.png attached). It seems like that they also have to be "0 left". Do I need to check all those options that don't have "0 left" value and press 'Start'?
I have also noticed that on the option "Duplicate terms (please select the attribute)" there is a dropdown and the second option was my only one attribute [Product hs codes] and it had a value "6 left", it is exactly the amount of my missing attribut "Flavor" which has 6 values (Screenshot 2024-02-11_17-25-25.png attached).
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
Please try the following steps:
1- Go to WPML-> Support-> Troubleshooting
2- Run the functions one by one (Kindly check this hidden link)
3- Go to WPML-> Taxonomy Translation
4- Check the missing attribute
Kindly let me know if the above steps fixed the issue.
I was checking it (with cache purging) each time I run each option on your screenshot. But still no Flavor attribute.
*By the way if it helps for invistigation the attribute Flavor is used for
product variations in case if you are familiar how product variations function
Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Are you sure that my asumptions on the very first message won't help to solve the issue? Can we first try those (please read my first message again) and is it safe to run them?
I have just noticed that executing those things damaged several pages of my site, like categories on several languages. But thankfully you said I should make a backup before that. So those options are very dangerous to touch)
Is it okay that on Woocommerce Multilingual troubleshooting page there are issues that are left, last time when I chekced them and clicked start (#15295825), my categories pages were gone (they still are on my stage site you can see it here hidden link it redirects to home page and some translations like russian just say something like there is an error).
I have restored my live site so categories pages can function. But those issues on trouble shooting page bother me, it makes me feel that something is wrong
It's great to hear that the issue is fixed 🙂 . Please don't hesitate to open a new ticket if you face any other issues. We are always happy to help you.
