Tell us what you are trying to do?

We are currently using the automatic translation service within WPML to translate many career/job posts on our website. The job titles are being translated from English to French and returning feminine french translations. We want it to return masculine french translations every time. Can that be configured on the Google Translate integration?

Example:

hidden link

The title is: Nurse Practitioner

And when it translates to French it becomes: Infirmière Practicienne

But we want: Infirmier Practicien

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for contacting WPML support.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to configure the integration with the Google translation engine to set a specific gender for the translated words.

Instead, you can use the Glossary feature to add context and correct translations for those titles, then the glossary entries will be used with Automatic translation.

Please check this guide for more details: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/how-to-create-and-manage-glossary-entries/

Kind regards,
Mohamed
