Background of the issue:
I'm using WPML (v4.7.4) with GenerateBlocks Pro (v2.1.0) and WordPress (v6.8.1). I'm trying to translate pages that use the Query Loop block from GenerateBlocks. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
On the original page, the Query Loop works fine. After translating, the Query Loop block is either missing or marked as broken with a message 'This block has been affected by changes', requiring 'Recover block'. After recovery, the query displays correctly.

What I've tested:
_ Happens even with a basic Query Loop (e.g., listing recent posts, no ACF, no filters).
_ Manual duplication (instead of using the editor) still results in a "recover block" warning.

Questions:
This seems like a serialization/deserialization mismatch between WPML and GenerateBlocks' block structure. Is this a known issue?
Are there compatibility improvements planned?

Thanks!

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. I checked out listing and we do not have any integration with GenerateBlocks Pro plugin.

What I suggest is that you check if manual translation works:

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

If not, I'm afraid you'll need to consider using the method to create blocks and loops, such as Toolset:

http://toolset.com/

or Advanced Custom Fields Pro that gives you the option to add blocks:

Thanks.

Hi Christopher, thank you for your answer. Is an integration with Generate Blocks Pro planned in the (near?) future?

Thank you
Davide

Hi Davide,

I do not think so. If the developers of the plugin are interested, they can join our Go Global program which will help them make their plugin compatible:

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/

Thanks.
