[Resolved] Hello WPML Support, I'm experiencing an issue on a website that's in three lang
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing an issue where the footer on the German and English versions of their multilingual website is incorrectly displaying the same content, specifically the German footer, despite different settings intended for each language. Solution: We identified that the footer's default language was incorrectly set to English instead of German, and the translation workflow was not followed as recommended. Here are the steps to resolve the issue: 1. Recreate the footer from scratch in German, then translate it following the guidelines provided in our documentation on Divi Builder compatibility. 2. Alternatively, edit the English footer to ensure it is in English, then manually send it for translation as demonstrated in the support video.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Additionally, you can open a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

I'm experiencing an issue on a website that's in three languages: German, English, and Polish. Everything is working fine except for the footer on the German and English versions. Specifically, it's showing the same footer on both the German and English versions (displaying the German footer). However, on the Polish version, everything is working correctly, showing the appropriate footer.
I followed all the instructions, and initially, everything was working fine (showing three different footers). The problem started occurring after that.
In this ticket, I've also included the code for your reference.
Hello,
I think we misunderstood each other.
So, I have a website that is in 3 languages, German, Polish, and English.
I have 3 footers saved in a library and added to the theme builder for each of these 3 versions.
Polish works as it should. In German, it changes English as well. In the end, the result is that I have a German footer on the English and German versions.
After doing this increase, please re-translate the English footer from scratch and then please do a backup of your site and go to WPML > Support > troubleshooting and try all the following buttons: hidden link
If any of that didn't help, I would like to ask for temporary access to your test site’s wp-admin and FTP to investigate the issue further.

How to solve it :
- Either re-create the footer from scratch IN GERMAN, and then translat eit like recommended in the documentation above
- Or edit the English footer to be in English manually and then send it to translation as shown in the video
I followed your steps, but it seems that I still haven't managed to solve the problem.
I deleted all the footers from the Divi library and created new ones. Now the German footer is saved as "njemacki footer" and the English one is saved as "en_footer".
Can you please solve this problem for me?
Thank you very much!

Hello,
I have recreated the footer from scratch and here is a video to show you how you should go about updating it in the future : hidden link
You have to follow that exact workflow and make sure that you are editing the footer in German only and then send the Footer layout to translation queue.
