Hello, I am a new WPML user and I'm having some issues with the translation of the following plugin: Custom User Registration Fields for WooCommerce.

As far as I can see, the custom fields I added myself are all translated. hidden link

However they don't appear on my website, only the default fields are visible.

Moreover, I am not able to translate the default fields and labels of this plugin. They remain in the main language (FR), and even when changing the language to NL they remain in French. Where can I translate them?

Can you help me with this please?

Hey Jocelyne,

Thank you for reaching out to the WPML support!

As I can see, the WP memory limit on your website is 40M. Can you increase it to 128M (256M recommended - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/) and tell me if the issue is still available, please?
You can have a look at this article to find out how to make this change:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/

Also, I had a look at the Custom User Registration Fields for WooCommerce plugin and it seems that it doesn't mention anything about being compatible with WPML. Also, it's not a part of the WPML compatible plugins list either (https://wpml.org/plugin/). In this case, there might be some compatibility issues between WPML and the plugin you're using, like the one that you mentioned.

In this case, making the User Registration Fields plugin work with WPML might require some custom coding on the User Registration Fields plugin side. The way that the custom fields are created by the plugin might not be compatible with WPML.
I can have a look at this and see if there's any change that can be done in order to make the translations appear on the page. I can't promise that I will find a solution, but at least I can have a look.
The next reply is set to be private so you can safely send me the credentials.

Thanks,
Radu

Hey there,

Thank you for giving me access to the dashboard area.

I had a look at the custom fields but I couldn't find any change to make them appear in the secondary language.

In this case, please reach out to the plugin authors and ask them to apply for the Go Global program (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/). This way, our compatibility team will work together with them and make sure that their plugin is fully compatible with WPML.

I tried to look for some other changes or tricks, but nothing worked. I'm afraid that asking the plugin authors to test Custom User Registration Fields with WPML is the only option.

Thanks,
Radu

Hey Jocelyne,

I think that this plugin is gonna help with the same change, and it's compatible with WPML:
https://wpml.org/plugin/woocommerce-custom-fields-product-add-ons/

You can try to reach out to the plugin authors and ask them if you can create the custom user fields, to make sure that it's the right fit for you.

Thanks,
Radu
