Hi, earlier I was having a problem with my WordPress website built with Divi. The logo redirects to the default language while the user is on the translated page. It was solved by your support team. However, moments later, the default language homepage is not showing a 404 page not found error.

The homepage appears when I am logged out or on incognito.

Okay, now one of the other inner pages returns a 404 error, both logged in and logged out. As well as on incognito. One of my designers is seeing an empty page, with just the footer and header of the page.

Resolved the 404 issues. However, the link back to the homepage while on the translated pages no longer works.

Update: I am currently experiencing the following issues:

1. The logo homepage link on the translated page (German) is not functioning.
2. The content of the Advanced Translation Editor on the homepage does not match. However, when checking the front end, the correct English and German content is displayed. We need to update some German texts, but the Editor does not display the correct source language information.
3. Observation: The homepage link in the default language (English) no longer includes "/EN" in the URL. Could this be the reason why the logo link is not working on the translated pages?

I kindly request assistance from WPML to address these issues. The translation work is almost complete, and we just need to resolve these minor problems.

Here's the site URL for your reference:

Hi there

I can see that the logo link doesn't seem to be working as expected when you navigate the site in different languages.

I just double-checked that it works correctly on my own test site that has Divi installed, and it works fine, so I'm not sure would account for the problem on your site.

Yours is a staging site, yes? So I could check it and do some basic checks?

Regarding what appears in ATE, it should be updated whenever you make changes to a page (e.g. the home page) and save them. Could you make a trivial change to the home page in the default language (e.g. add some spaces or modify punctuation), save the page, and then send it to ATE again for translation. Do you see the current page content, or something from earlier?

Your observation that /en/ is no longer appended to the default language URLs. Does that mean you changed the setting at WPML > Language URL Format (screenshot) for this?

I can imagine that would affect your links and you may need to re-save content or translations for them to be updated. Try the scan at WPML > Settings > Translate Link Targets.

If none of the above helps then let me get the site credentials to be able to check things myself, if that's okay.

I have marked your next reply as private so that I can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site.

Thank you.

When I test I see that the issue with the logo linking to the home page does now appear resolved.

If I navigate to pages such as Pricing or Case Studies they correctly point back to the home URL in the default language, and if I switch to DE and navigate to those same pages, they correctly point back to the German home page (i.e. hidden link).

That leaves the problem with what appears in the ATE editor.

As it is not obvious to me which texts are wrong, could you please share specific details I can look at, i.e. some text that is part of the current home page in English which, when I open the page in the ATE editor, has different English text.
