This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is new to using WPML and needs guidance on setting it up and making it work correctly.
Solution:
We manually translated the content from the Home page to demonstrate what a translated page looks like. We recommend that you either remove this later or deactivate English in WPML -> Settings if it's not needed publicly. Additionally, we adjusted the dropdown language switcher by removing the #ffffff color defined in the language switcher settings to make the text visible. It's important to translate the templates to ensure that headers are correctly output on the translated versions. If you're experiencing similar issues, we recommend checking your language switcher settings and ensuring your templates are fully translated.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

A pop-up is probably included inside the contact page. Make sure you publish a page to test this. On WPML -> Settings, you can hide languages for logged-out users if no visitors should see the translation yet. I activated the private reply field.

Hi,

I manually translated (copied) the Content from Home so you can see what a translated page looks like: hidden link. You can remove this later or deactivate English on WPML -> Settings from the public.

The dropdown is now working. You need to adjust the styling a bit. I removed the #ffffff colour defined on hidden link inside the language switcher, so it shows the text. Otherwise, you can't see the font colour.

Remember to translate the templates on hidden link. If not, there will be no header output on the translated version.

Best Regards
Marcel

Hi,

I still don't know what the reason why it didn't show arrow-down icon is, do you mean the font color is the reason?

It shows an icon, but not the one defined in the BeTheme option "WPML Switcher" widget. I recommend you getting here in touch with the theme authors, this is not code from us what controls that output. You can always activate a WPML Menu Switche on WPML -> Languages if you don't like the one from BeTheme.

Now I found the second error, you can check the swicther in another page of my site, not show either

That is expected. A translated page is only viewable after it's fully reviewed. You can see the switcher on pages mentioned at hidden link only after you finish the review. I only translated the start page as a test.

Best Regards
Marcel

Hi,

we have a URL safelist active, so no other visitors can't see the URL. Other visitors will see only a text called "hidden link". You can double check that on an Incognito Browser window. I changed it to "***".

You can request a refund under https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/ in the first 30 days. If you need further help, please let me know. You still need to translate all content from BeTheme, such as your header and page templates, and have yet to review the finished translations. If you do that, everything will work as expected :).

This link will help you translate content from your theme: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/create-multilingual-wordpress-websites-using-betheme-and-wpml/. If you are searching for a general WPML guide, I recommend you checking out https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/.

Best Regards
