This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are working on a site under development and trying to use the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) in WPML to translate an HTML header tag's id attribute. However, ATE does not recognize the 'test' id when you try to search for it in the translation editor.
Solution:
We recommend adding the IDs in the following format:

<h2 id="[wpml-string context='my-domain']titre-i[/wpml-string]">SECTION I</h2>

After this, you can translate the string via WPML -> String Translation. Please check the last three strings on this page.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Additionally, you can open a new support ticket for further assistance here.

I don't understand how I can add this string to the Stringing Translation: I don't think it belongs to any plugin or theme, and I don't even understand where exactly to look for this string after publishing it all on a page.

I can't find the answer to my question in the message you are referring to. I'm pretty sure everything works in the sandbox. My question is how to make it work for me. I see in the screenshot that String Translation has added strings that belong to the domain that is written in the suggested passage. In the screenshot this is the translate-id domain. In your example it is the domain my-domain. My question is how to add strings of this domain to String Translation. What does this domain belong to? Where do I look for these strings? This domain hardly belongs to any plugin. And it hardly belongs to a theme. Accordingly, I can hardly add these strings through Theme and plugins localisation. These strings are not "just there" in String Translation, which is not surprising because String Translation looks for specific domains. And the domains I added to it are not the domains to which these strings could belong.

Hi,

After wrapping the ID with the wpml-string shortcode, please go to WPML-> String Translation, enable the "Auto-register strings" option, and visit the page on the front end to register the string.

Afterward, you can disable the option, search for the string, and translate it.

Best regards,
Osama
