Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate some headers on my site hidden link using WPML. The headers are translated in other languages apart from the original one.
Symptoms:
I cannot find where to translate some headers.
Questions:
Where can I find the option to translate headers using WPML?
Before this ticket gets assigned to one of my colleagues, I will try to help.
Certain strings may require a specific procedure to be located and translated.
Moreover, the proper method for translating strings greatly depends on how they have been incorporated into the theme/plugin. Some plugins might not even be written in a way where the coded strings are implemented in an "internationalized" way so that is why no multilingual plugin might be able to see the strings out of the box without some extra work upfront.
IMPORTANT: Sometimes, there are even duplicates of the same string and only one of them is the correct one that needs to be translated.
Also, sometimes, simply removing the string (checking the box and removing it) and then re-registering it again by scanning for it (one of the methods below) and re-translating it resolves the issue.
Please attempt both methods and check if either of them resolves the issue.
Method 1:
Navigate to WPML > String Translation, and at the bottom of the page, you will find a checkbox labeled "Look for strings while pages are rendered." You can enable (check) that option, then go to the front end to a page where the string is displayed, and afterward return to WPML > String Translation to search for that string and see if it now appears.
Method 2:
If you can't locate them within WPML > String Translation, they might be included as admin text strings.
By the way, your first suggested method it's not applicable to my case, because I don't have such checkbox as you mentioned in your description, but instead, I have something in a similar direction with the following text: "Track where strings appear on the site". Please check attached screenshot.
I tried that option, but it did not bring me any strange at all. I navigated through the website from the end and back end, but I did not see any yellow marks appear anywhere.
It looks like the problem is in the fact, that, at the moment, when we installed WPML plugin the Woocommerce plug-in was in Russian language. Then, as we recognized that we have to begin from our native language, which is Latvian, we have switched Woocommerce to Latvia language. Now, if to turn off WPML plug-in, those terms are in the correct Latvian language. So the question is now – how can we resolve it without reinstalling Woocommerce and WPML plug-ins and to avoid loss of all that work that we did with the translation?
All Woocommerce language package your WPML plug-in is turning into Russian. When we switch off WPML plugging our site turns normally into Latvia and language. But as soon as we switch on WPML plugging, it turns Woocommerce into Russian version. Please see attached
I have narrowed down the problem. It looks like WPML String Translation plugin is breaking the Latvian language settings.
Also it looks like the WordPress translation for the Latvian language is messed up and as
well the WPML String Translation plugin is at the cause.
Please, have a look at the screenshot attached.

And as you are checking our site, please, check why as soon as I change my profile to english language, order announcement emails are coming in the english language. Emails to our office should be sent in the Site's language, which is Latvian.
And, there is a feeling that there is some automatic translation triggered, because during the day these phrases were in Latvian, but now they are in English. Nobody has changed them, but somehow they just rotated into Russian. Please have a look at the screenshot. I will now go and try to find these strings in the String translator, but it is like endless fight with Russian provocateur sitting somewhere in the weeds off WordPress... 😊

1) The text that you see will change according to the language you check in the front-end because the browser and WPML are showing you a specific language. you can't have the admin bar in a fixed language on the front-end, unfortunately.
2) On the back-end the content behaves according to the language set in the profile which by default is the "default site", but that means that if you switch from one language to another, "default site language" will be that active language you have.
I suggest hat you specify latvian for the user that has the mail arriving to your offices so they arrive in Latvian.
3) The strings were manually translated into russian by mistake. you can translate them in WPML > String Translation or in WPML > Translation management (if you want to translate them via the Advanced Translation Editor)

Most likely, you are right, I have been translating some strings from the Translation manager, not from the place where you shown. So what is your suggestion, shall we go through again all those strings and retranslate them?
We want to finish catching out all the bags before we transfer this website to an existing old domain, where all the ads are leading to, and our clients know that website address.
My only worry is that when we will switch to another domain, hopefully we will not lose all the translations.
After your manipulations, we have now new issue in the Latvian language. First of all, after the price appears symbol for units (pcs), and secondly, we cannot change the price, even if we press a smaller size packaging.
This symbol (pcs) for pieces does not appear for any other language, only for Latvian. But the main problem is that we cannot switch the price of the product. This problem is only for those products that have more than one variation of the weight or volume. If you go to the product with only one possible variation, then it shows the correct price of that product.

What you mention here is not what I see but it's actually what I'd expect given your product configuration.
- The "from" ("No" in latvian) is coming from WooCommerce, from the default template and appears when no variation is selected. It has nothing to do with WPML
- The "pcs" is there because you added that as a measurement unit in the standard WooCommerce configuration. I see you use Elementor but I suspect the template is handled by WooCommerce but i'd actually expect the "pcs" to appear, but it doesn't so may you hid it?
That also has nothing to do with WPML.

When it comes to the translation, it doesn't matter if you translate it from Translation Management or from WPML > String Translation, you can translate them from the place you like the most (translation management is nice when you want to translate via the translation editor, so you can also use automatic translation, String translations instead is the more "manual" or "classic" way to do the same thing).
