Background of the issue:
I need help translating a text in the 'Admin Texts Translation' list on my website hidden link. The text is locked, and I receive a message stating that this setting is locked by a WPML configuration file. I have attempted to resolve the issue and have provided a video capture of my efforts: hidden link.
Symptoms:
This setting is locked by a WPML configuration file.
Questions:
How can I unlock and translate the text in the 'Admin Texts Translation' list?
What steps should I follow to resolve the locked setting issue in WPML?
Having the string showing up as locked means that the respective field is already added to WPML through some XML code that comes with the theme or plugin that you are using.
So you don't need to run any extra steps to register it in order to be able tp add it to WPML > String Translation, because, as you can see, it already shows up in WPML > String Translation when you search for it.
So, one of the reasons why this might be still happening, even if you already translated the string could be caching (local/server/CDN) so please clear all the caching and see if the issue is still happening.
I don't use any caching (local, server or CDN) so something else is the cause of the problem.
I tried to solve the problem in another way, so I deleted the strings from the translations list, after that scanned again the strings of the theme and the plugins and I tried to translate once more the string.

Hello Nikos,
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link
Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello Nikos,
I apologize for the delay due to the weekend.
Thank you for sharing that information. I'm still debugging this issue but I'd like to ask permission to make a copy/staging version of your site where I can troubleshoot this without affecting the live site.
I'll make sure to delete this copy as soon as we get this issue fixed.
I'm afraid of debugging directly on the live site and cause issues to your visitors. Also, it is important to test a different setup as part of the troubleshooting.
If you already have a staging site as well please let me know and I'll enable the private fields for your next reply.
Thank you, please let us know.
Mateus
