I want to prevent WPML to do any translations, to queue any jobs, etc, to stay away from all the content on the site. I don't want to be asked if I want to translate something and I dont want a translation to happen by default.
How do I do that?

Also, I keep getting this annoying message:

"One more step before you can translate on Visual Composer
You need to enable WPML's Translation Editor, to translate conveniently."
When I click on the action I get an error:"This action is not allowed"

PLease, help me stop this too.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

1.- I kindly ask you to follow the steps described in this link: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/#translating-individual-pages-posts-and-other-content-automatically and set-up the configuration to 'Translate What You Choose'.

You can go to WPML -> Settings -> In the first section you will be able to activate the 'Translate What You Choose' too

That option will prevent WPML to translate any content from your site automatically unless you send the content for automatic translation.

2.- The String Translation plugin seems to be installed on your site already so there is no need to try to install it again. I recommend you deactivate/activate the String Translation plugin and double-check if the error disappeared.

Regards,
Carlos

My site was already set to 'Translate What You Choose', and I had never requested any translation. This plugin is incredibly annoying and you have made it incredibly hard to manage it, it behaves as a bully and I can't stop it.

As soon as we find a replacement =we will abandon this plugin. But in the meantime, please UPDATE your documentation with clear and to the point information. What a mess! Have you read the link you sent me? Do you think it explains how to stop any and all translations?

SO I ask you ONCE MORE, how do I stop any and all translations FOPR EVER?

Hi there,

The documentation I shared explains how to set 'Translate what you choose' that stops WPML from any automatic translation except if you send the content to be translated.

Could you please describe in what scenario you see that WPML is automatically translating the content without your command? I suspect we might be talking about different scenarios.

Looking forward to your message.
