Hi there. Im trying to change the header via the full site editor, but I'm not able to save.
When switching the language to english, the header switches as well to the default header. Need some help to get this sorted.

Sorry, we would need a site snapshot to continue with the troubleshooting. Or can we have your permission to create a snapshot on our own?

We usually recommend the free Plugin “Duplicator” for this purpose.

If you already know how Duplicator works ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/),please skip the following steps and just send me the archive file you downloaded.

If the file is too large (more than 400M), please use the Duplicator file filters to remove the cache, the wp-uploads directory, the media, and the archive files.

Send me the link to the archive file (you probably want to use Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar services, as the snapshot file will be quite big).

Your next reply will be private, which means that only you and I will be able to see it and have access to it.

You can paste the link to the file there.

Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site.

I give you permission to install Duplicator and copy the site to your local environment.

I've imported your Website into my local server and I'm able to save without issues and translate the headers hidden link

This could be a server-related issue and could you share your server FTP access here so that I could check the server error logs?

I get the following error in the logs after trying to save:

2023-06-07 10:02:53 Error XXX.XXX.XX.XXX 404 POST /customername/en/wp-json/wp/v2/template-parts/customername//header-en?_locale=user HTTP/1.0

Its the same errors you get as in the console of the browser while trying to save. I see some 404 errors there regarding wp-json.

I've received feedback from our 2nd Tier Support and this is what he says.

The site is installed in a subfolder.
Perhaps the rewrite rules are not correct and they might have to be adjusted to accommodate the subfolder.

If you're not sure how to adjust the rewrite rules, maybe you can consult your hosting provider.

Let me know how it goes.

I've just installed the website on a subdomain, and it seems that I am able to save the headers in the full page editor now.
This is very strange, the website was migrated to multiple servers, inhouse and webservers, and none of them worked with the website installed in a subfolder. Might still be a WPML issue?

Glad that you sorted it out. As mentioned by our 2nd Tier Support, the "rewrite rules" needs to be adjusted, so, it's best that you check with your hosting provider.
