[Resolved] Images does not show up for translation, ATE does not apply glosario during translation in Divi
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing issues with images not appearing in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) for translation and Glossary terms not applying correctly when using WPML with Divi 5, which is still in beta. The images were not loading in ATE, and the first 9 of 12 Glossary words were not visible or editable in the translation panel.
Solution: 1. We acknowledged that Divi 5 is still in beta and not all widgets are fully compatible with WPML, including some issues with translating images used as section, row, or column backgrounds. We recommended adding images directly in Divi in the second language as a workaround. 2. For the Glossary issue, it was suggested that there might be a conflict with another plugin or the theme. We advised purging all site caches and testing the site with a minimal setup by deactivating unrelated plugins and switching to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One to check if the issue persists. 3. If the problem was resolved by the minimal setup, we recommended reactivating plugins individually to identify the problematic one. 4. We provided assistance in setting up a staging site using the WP Staging plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/) for further troubleshooting without affecting the live site. 5. We adjusted configurations and assigned content for translation to check if images appeared correctly in ATE on the staging site. 6. We shared a guide on how to handle different images per language (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/). 7. We provided a file to import Glossary terms to resolve related issues.

Thanks alot Carlos, the file is imported and I have now full access to all my Glosarios.
Meanwhile there is no change on the new page created manually, meaning for now all content sticks on in each language. I am going to give it untill Monday before starting redoing all the pages.
Good evening Carlos, I am having a slight problem with my homepage. During the weekend the automatic translated homepage has been erased on almost all languages and I am not able to get the layouts back. So far I have tried to change some text and re translate it and I have also tried to use to option of overwriting translations and nothing works I cannot get the languages to stick.
Hi again, so I just erased my homepage with automatic translations because it was erasing all layouts. I then published the manually translated homepage I had done the other day and which had not changed anything during the lasts days. After publishing this all the content disappeared again showing Spanish content on all homepages. I then press to manually edit the page and in the builder it shows the content in the correct language. So I have my builder showing me the correct content but the users are shown differently.
After this I have no more to give Carlos, I cannot translate automatic nor can I translate manually. The program does exactly what it feels like with no regards of orders.
Meanwhile after all this work I have put into it my visitors are down 23% from same period last year after 7 years beating records every year.
And also to comment is the spending I have made in the last month on automatic translation (see screenshot) because I am paying for a service that is not working.
All of this of course has nothing to do with the service you are providing as supporter but I hope you can send my complaints further up 🙂
But end of story I cannot get this to work so tell me if it is the moment to change translations service, because I am losing the earnings of the summer campaigns ????
Carlos, I have just finished creating two new urls with manually translation, the homepage and this url: hidden link
Both of them have now the correct content so please visit them when you can and see if everything sticks on each language or not.
It seems like there is something complicating the creation of new url when I do the manully translating, meaning that I create the url in a new language and then put in the content and save seeing the correct content but then I visit the url and it is not created so it would show the Spanish content. I then have to erase this corrupt page and then creating it again it does seems to save the correct layout. All this we will see in the morning I am just crossing my fingers.
What I can't understand is why I can have 3-5 different languages where this would happened on each url created and it is not the same languages having problems each time. There must be something not working right for all this to happen.
Hi Carlos, sorry for my absence but it is really difficult to work with kids on vacation at home. I appreciate the gesture from the company with the credits :-). About the video call, since I am not able to do anything within your working hours because I have people here with me, I would like to know if we could propone that until Thursday ???
Meanwhile my layouts on the 2 url created have stuck with no changes being applied so I will tonight start making the rest of the content manually.
Seems like if I repeat the steps enough times when the page get corrupted, erasing and republishing, in the end everything sticks. It just put alot more effort in everything.

Hi Carlos, I was not going to sit down until this evening but I have just got a call from our premises that the content has disappeared again. On this url: hidden link as I have told you was created with all translations manually and for 3 days nothing happened with the content but today I have lost almost all of the translations. Nearly all of them now shows the Spanish version. So the original content is lost or erased.
And it does not make sense that the program changes something that is manually build where no translation is done.

It erased following languages: French, Italian, Holandes, Finnish, danish, Norwegian, Swedish, polish and Portuguese. So only 2 languages stayed like it should.
And from my understanding if I was doing something wrong should the effect not be for all ??? Here I am doing it like it should be done because as you can see I have content and translations working perfectly in some languages but my layouts get erased for no reason

Por favor comparte las credenciales de acceso al sitio en producción en tu próximo mensaje que he establecido como privado para comprobar si el problema volvió a aparecer.
Thanks alot Carlos, meanwhile I have resolved with the programmer the problems around the 404´s. It was a mistake in the coding of the category "CHICAS", there was a conflict been made. He also did a lot of clean up in the database so I hope maybe the problems being generated are getting resolved. I will also keep an eye out during the nexts hours to see if there is any difference in layouts.
