Is there a chance to work on this site? Or do we have to wait until you help me with the problem? |

Hi there I'm sorry it is taking a while for someone to take this now that it has been turned into a support thread, the queue has been busy and we are working through tickets as quickly as possible. I logged in to your site using the credentials you shared with Itamar to see if I could spot any problems. I can see the issue, so if I edit the Car post I can see + buttons for most of the other languages, which suggests there is no translation available so far and one needs to be created. And if you press one of the + buttons (I tested Spanish) it takes you to the translation editor, where you can see the already-translated texts. But upon completing the translation the icon reverts to + rather than the pencil edit icon, suggesting that there is still no translation available. I installed a debugging plugin to check your database and inspected the translations table, where I can see that the Car page (with ID = 1258) has been translated into many different languages, including Spanish, which I was testing. According to the translation table, the ID of the Spanish version of the page is 17567, but when I check in the wp_posts table, there is no such entry with ID 17567. This is what is causing the issue you are seeing. WPML thinks there are translations of your page, but the translated page posts simply don't exist. That is something it would not expect and has unintended consequences. I can't say why the posts are missing, but the most likely explanation is something went wrong when you copied your existing site. I have "fixed" the issue by using the troubleshooting step "Remove ghost entries from the translation tables" (go to WPML > Support and click the troubleshooting link). That deleted all the entries in the translation table where the posts are missing. It is necessary to recreate such pages, though, by manually creating the translations. I just did that with Spanish, where the content in the translation editor already exists, and so I could just hit "Complete". Now the translated page exists (and has the pencil icon), but it will be necessary to do the same for the other languages. |

Thanks a lot for your help! Is there a chance to fix this problem in the same easy way like the pages? Cheers and thanks for your help! New threads created by Nigel and linked to this one are listed below: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/slider-revolution-plugin-translation-issues/ |

As that is a separate issue and we deal with one issue at a time in single threads to keep the forum organised I have split this new question into its own thread and I'll update you there. I think we should be able to close here for this issue? |
