Background of the issue:
I am managing a live multisite translated from German (default language) to English using WPML. I am experiencing issues with internal links on translated posts.

Symptoms:
When clicking on internal links that are correctly translated and displayed in English, they redirect to the German version instead of the intended English page. This appears to mostly effect portfolio items in my example. Main pages can be accessed.
My example: hidden link
In the 2nd paragraph are two links. The external one leads to the English site version. The internal one - albeit pointing to the correct English language target - redirects back to the German version of the post.

Questions:
Why are internal links on English pages redirecting back to the German version after clicking, despite being correctly translated and displayed?

I’ve followed the below steps:

1. Went to WPML >> Sticky Links plugin and press the Start button to revert to normal links.
2. Deactivated the Sticky links plugin.
3. Opened the default language page in Edit mode:
hidden link
4. Resaved it after making a small change to reload the translation.
5. Opened the translated page in ATE and added the link translation as you can see in the attached screenshots.

Now, it seems to be show the correct link without redirection. Could you please check and confirm?

Thank you for your cooperation
