Background of the issue:
I am building a multilingual (4 languages) website and I am using WPML for the first time. I chose this plugin for this project because I need to translate Gravity Forms forms with many fields. I built the forms on local environment and I put it online this week.

Symptoms:
Translations were not put online properly, so I exported/imported them after putting the website online. False translations went back. Now after I went back to the translation tool, my right translations are back, but it seems also my admin labels and "value" and "is-rule" are translated also, when I only want the front labels to be translated. I have around 150 fields so I cannot make all translations again.

Questions:
I don't understand why my translations are being changed to the original ones, then to everything being translated.
Is choosing 'Yes' to the question about the website being a copy of the local one the cause of my problems?

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

I've reviewed the options available, and unfortunately, I couldn't find a method to prevent those fields from being translated directly. One workaround is to click on the copy icon, as illustrated in the attached screenshot, while translating the form using the Advanced Translation Editor. Additionally, you can utilize the glossary available here at https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/how-to-create-and-manage-glossary-entries/ to ensure the correct strings are assigned during translation.

I hope this solution proves helpful. Please let me know how it works out for you.

Thank you for your quick reply.
This is the tool I used when I did the entire translation (on localhost). The weird thing is that the values went back to the translated text a while after I did the reimport using the XLIFF file (online).
Do you know why it happened ? Can it be because of the coexistence of the localhost and the online website ? I could do it again but I am afraid the translated text comes back again.

I haven't personally tried importing a locally created XLIFF file into an online environment, so I'm uncertain if this will revert the translations.

Perhaps you could try backing up and reimporting it again to see if it resolves the issue? Alternatively, saving the online XLIFF file and importing it into another online staging site might also help determine if it works correctly.

OK I will try to reimport the locally created XLIFF.
Is there a kind of sync of translations between local and online version of a same website ?
