This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client attempted to translate their site into multiple languages using WPML but faced issues with disappearing credits after deleting the languages. They were concerned about the high credit consumption for minimal page changes and questioned the possibility of restoring credits after deleting languages.
Solution:
We explained that credits are consumed immediately when content is sent for translation and cannot be refunded once used, as detailed in our documentation: Refunds for Automatic Translation Credits.
We also suggested checking the Automatic Translation Usage Report to track credit usage for each page, accessible via WPML > Translation Management > Tools > Payment and settings > Automatic Translation Usage Reports. More information can be found here: Automatic Translation Invoices.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I tried to translate our site into more languages using WPML. However, we did not have enough credits, so I deleted the languages again.

Symptoms:
The credits are gone after deleting the languages.

Questions:
Can I restore the credits after deleting languages?

Hi there.

Can you please let us know what is the website that you are referring to so that I can take a closer look at this situation?

Credits are instantly gone/used/consumed as soon as WPML sends the content for translation and the translation engine translates the specific content.

Regarding the used credits, unfortunately, we are not able to refund translation credits that have been used already.

We also mention this in our documentation here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#refunds-for-automatic-translation-credits

We also pay for these credits so once they are used, we have already sent our payment to the translation engine service.

Also, in case you reset WPML or removed then re-added WPML, there's a chance that you are now on a new automatic translation account and that the remaining available credits are currently stuck in the old account so I will need the website domain in order to be able to check.

Please note that checking on this can take some time so it might take a while until I analyze this on a deeper level.

I will be waiting for your response.

Thank you for your quick reply. The website is hidden link . Unfortunately I've deleted the languages thinking credit would come back for our English translation. We will do the languages per language instead of adding 3 new at ones.

I've added extra credit. Now I change some pages with minimum changes, but the credits went -10.000. Why is that so much? I changed the way we translate now as I had Deepl, Google etc on.

Hi there and welcome back.

I am not sure what and how was translated but I want to remind you that you should be able to find your Automatic Translation Usage Report if you go to WPML > Translation Management > Tools > Payment and settings > Automatic Translation Usage Reports (as you can see in the screenshot from the section below):
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-invoices/#where-to-find-your-past-pay-as-you-go-invoices

That will show you the number of credits used for each page.
