I'm still in the process of testing translations, but I saw in your video that you are disabling emails on each user's profile page. There is a much quicker way to disable the notifications for all by going to WPML -> Settings and click on the Translation Notifications tab.

I will continue testing and report back here soon.

Thank you, Lauren.

To your point about about notifications, I looking to deactivate notifications for all people except for me on the test site.

Do you happen to know whether there's some sort of WPML hook or filter that I can use to control who gets notifications?

I could probably figure out the custom code to get to this work if there's already some sort of hook or filter for this.

Either way, it still helps to know that this system-wide notification option exists, thank you!

And please don't let this question take you away from the main issue, if you're not sure about notification filters. Notifications are a low priority at the moment.

I tested further by creating a test page and was able to reproduce the same issue there. So I have now escalated this to our 2nd tier developers, and will update here as soon as I have more information.

Is it okay with you if I install the WP File Management plugin on the test site so that I can review the debug log?

Yes, no problem! You now have access to install plugins on the same test site:

Unfortunately I'm still not able to install plugins, I'm getting a time out. Could you perhaps install this one for me? https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-file-manager/

Let me know once that is set up and I'll continue. thanks!

Okay, this is done! The plugin is installed and activated.

Sorry, not sure why you were seeing a time-out message.

Please provide FTP access in the next reply, which i have marked as private. I made an error when enabling the debug mode and need to access the file via FTP to resolve it. Thanks!

Also, I see that the test site is showing an error at the moment because a "}" bracket character went missing.

I've undone the latest change to wp-config.php, so the site is working again.

Well it looks like I don't have access to edit the file, so I'll need you to enable the debug log so that I can check for errors. I tried to uncomment out the lines using FTP, but I don't have the permissions. The File Management plugin does not allow me to edit the file either, only preview it and download it, but I can't upload it back.

Let me know once the debug log is enabled and I will continue. Thanks!

My apologies, could you please try again to edit? When I reverted the code changes to fix the error, I switched the site from SFTP mode to git mode, and I forget to set it back.

This is fixed now; the site is back to SFTP mode.

...And to help out, I've also enabled WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php.

Thanks for doing that. I was able to trigger some errors, so we are making some progress 🙂 The debug log is now showing a few different things that could be related to why this is happening. I need to check the database to see if there are missing tables or columns. Would it be possible for you to install the Adminer plugin from the repository which may allow me access to check the database?

Okay, done! This plugin is now installed and activated:

Database Access with Adminer

It looks like you might need to configure it or at least accept certain terms? I'm not familiar with this plugin, but this plugin-related options page seems like it requires some attention:
