[Resolved] Missing language choice in menu for one page (About page)
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing an issue where the language choice is not appearing at the bottom of the full background menu on the About page, unlike other pages on the site. Solution: We recommend the following steps to resolve the issue: 1. Edit the About page using the WordPress editor and ensure it's connected to the translation in the language side panel. For guidance on connecting translations, please see our documentation: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/. 2. If the issue persists, follow these steps: - Go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Jobs tab. - Search for the About page. - If there is an in-progress job, delete it. - Try editing the About page again and check if you can connect it now.

I'm trying to fix the language choice on my full background menu.
When you click the sandwich menu, you're supposed to find the language choice at the bottom.
It's working for every page, but not for the About page menu!

First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload. Please edit the About page using the WordPress editor and check if it's connected to the translation in the language side panel.
1- Go to WPML-> Translation Management-> Jobs tab
2- Search for the About page
3- If you see in progress job, delete it
4- Edit the About page and check if you can connect it now
I delete the job in progress, and tried to reconnect it, but the language is still greyed out and the "connect with translation" link is never available.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Please check the password because I got the following error. (Erreur: ce mot de passe ne correspond pas à l’identifiant support. Mot de passe oublié ?)
Thanks for the access details. Please check if the About page works correctly. I canceled the in-progress jobs for the About page in both languages and connected them. (hidden link)
I did cancel the jobs in the translation maanger, and I was not able to reconnect them, how did you do that ?

The page looks fine, and I can change the language now.

I completed the job from French to English. After that, I deleted the newly created English page.
The "Connect Translation" option appeared on the French page after that, so I was able to connect the two About pages in both languages.
