Background of the issue:
I run a multisite at hidden link with several sites, some of which have WPML activated. I've activated WPML on a site-by-site basis, allowing flexibility to deactivate it on individual subsites. I followed the option to activate WPML on the main site and selected subsites.

Symptoms:
The sites, such as hidden link, still display as development sites, and I can't move them to production. I've tried deactivating and reactivating the sites and entering the site key, but they seem to be set as production in my dashboard.

Questions:
How can I move my sites from development to production?
Why do my sites still display as development sites despite being set as production in the dashboard?

Hi,

Can you try this?
https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-remove-the-this-site-is-registered-on-wpml-org-as-a-development-site-notice/#what-if-the-notice-still-appears-after-moving-to-production

Does it change anything?

Hi

1. There is no cog icon next to the sitename - see screenshot attached.
I can delete it - should i do this?

2. I've deactivated and reactivated the plugin and this did not do anything.

Any more advice pls?

Thanks
Dominic

For the hidden link, can you remove it from your https://wpml.org/account/sites and then try this:
https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-remove-the-this-site-is-registered-on-wpml-org-as-a-development-site-notice/#what-if-the-notice-still-appears-after-moving-to-production

Does it help? So yes, try with your suggestion 1).

As for 2), deactivating and activating WPML would not fix such issue because the key is already stored and linked to the site.

No that did not work. Primarily cos I don't have a deactivate link on the sub-sites.

I've now network activated WPML but still no change.
Would it help if I setup a username and password for you?

This is where it would appear - not on the subsites but the main site:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/#register-wpml-multisite

Is this not working either? If not, I marked your next reply as private so that you can safely add credentials.

On hidden link looks like that the site is not registered at all, as I see "Registra WPML".

You can also see on hidden link "wpml: Unable to register: Site key not matching".

Can you do this:
- register a key on hidden link
- update WPML and its addons from the same screen as you are not using the latest version
- go to hidden link and click "Verifica di nuovo." and then check if the banner is still on hidden link or other sites

Hi
I am sorry, but still an issue.

I have now added a new key to miramedia.net even though i don't need the plugin on this site.

I've updated the plugin so that's good.

I can't find out how to change the sitekey on paint. I think that I must have cloned this site when i first built it and so the key was copied.

So how do I reset the keys on the sub-sites - all of which are showing as NO REGISTERED.

I am very patient and I always look to blame myself but this is taking too long and now I am get a bit fed up. Please deal with this

Thanks

Dominic

The same key from the hidden link applies to all the subsites, so in your WPML account you only need to leave that one key and remove other registrations.

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/#register-wpml-multisite

Register your main site first so that the same site key will apply to all subsites.

I see that you entered the key to hidden link and that there is no development notice on hidden link

So the issue is resolved now or did you remove it using CSS/JavaScript perhaps?

Thanks - so to be clear, I can click on the delete BIN next to all the sub-sites in the attached screenshot on the WPML account,

That's correct, so for every site that is the part of this multisite network.
