This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to translate the footer contents and the contact form's submit button from Swedish to English using the WPML plugin on a WordPress site with the 'Alim' theme. Despite using the auto-translation feature and the translation management list, the footer remains untranslated, and specific strings for the footer and the submit button are not found in the translation editor.

Solution:
1. To address the untranslated contact form's submit button, edit the form by changing the strings from English to Swedish and then update the translation. Detailed steps for translating forms in Contact Form 7 with WPML can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/using-contact-form-7-with-wpml/

2. For translating the widget title, follow the steps in this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/ Additionally, consider creating one widget per language as described in the last section of the documentation here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/#using-different-widgets-for-different-languages

If these solutions do not resolve your issue or seem outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Also, check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am attempting to translate the footer contents of our website from Swedish to English using the WPML plugin. The website is built on the WordPress 'Alim' theme from ThemeForest. I have used the auto-translation feature and the translation management list, but the footer remains untranslated.

Symptoms:
The footer contents and the contact form's submit button are not translated despite using WPML's string translation list and Advanced Translation Editor. The specific strings for the footer and the submit button are not found in the translation editor.

Questions:
How can I find and translate the missing footer content strings using WPML?
What steps should I follow to ensure the contact form's submit button is fully translated in the Advanced Translation Editor?

Hi!

The issue is partially solved!

The footer widget title is supposed to be translated to "About Us" from "Om Oss"

And, a new issue is now showing

The contact form is not showing in swedish anymore, if the swedish language is selected its showing in english. Previously in the swedish page there was no issue.

Please check.

Hi,

1.- The form has been shown in English in the Swedish version since you opened the chat, and it is because the form in Swedish has English words: hidden link

To fix it, just edit the form in the link I shared -> Change the strings from English to Swedish -> Save the changes, and update the translation

In this link you will find the correct steps to translate the forms in CF7: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/using-contact-form-7-with-wpml/

2.- To translate the widget title you must follow the steps described in this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/

Hi!

1. When I opened the chat, I have attached the screenshot of the English language selected page. Please check again.

And there, my issue regarding the contact form footer is, all the fields/label were translated, accept the submit button. I had gone to the Advanced Translation editor, there I also cant find the submit button text which I need to translate to "SEND" from "SKICKA"

Now I am seeing all the contact form is in English, its like the other contact form "Footer English" is used from the admin. Which does not help me, and the swedish contact form is now lost from the deafult swedish page. Why?

2. I need your help to translate the 1st Widget title "Om Oss" to "About Us" in the english page, as I cant find any option for it, but I can change the other see the translation option of other 2 widget title in the string translation. I cant figure it out why the translation option for 1st widget title (Om Oss) is not showing in the string translation. That's why I need your help.

Please assist!

Hi!

I have looked the url you have suggested. I cant understand the most part, my apologies.

I can now see some string translations are added for the "theme about widget". There, I can see the edit section to update the widget title. I have updated the title, but in the English page the translated text is not showing.

Please help me.

Hi there,

In this case, I recommend you create one widget per language (I'm referring to the About Us widget) as described in the last section of the documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/#using-different-widgets-for-different-languages and double-check if the issue disappeared.
