Our translation cycle consists of exporting a page for translation, translating locally in SDL Studio, and uploading it back. We manage our TMs locally.
Lately we see some target-language text appearing in the source column in Trados. I understand this is a result of WPML internal translation memory having been updated with previously uploaded files, and the system leverages old translation into the new file. However, we do not wish to rely on WPML TMs and having target language in the source column 1) confuses translators 2) restricting editing of this segment for them.
How can we avoid updating WPML internal TM so that even previously translated segments come up as new., i.e. show in the source language?

Hello,
Please go to WPML > Settings > Translation Editor and make sure to set the "Classic Translation Editor" as a translation method for new content. This Editor does not have a translation memory.
Thank you, I have changed the setting. Would be wonderful if you could reset the TMs, however, I have a bunch of files exported and waiting to be imported back, so i am hesitant to clean any data until the files are imported back. Can we still take you up on that offer after the translation is done?:)
Thanks in advance,
