New added links are not showing up in translated page with automatic translation.
We have added a link to some of the keywords using a plugin for multiple pages. Since there are 7 languages & multiple pages, I tried to update the translations using "Translation Management" and the translation status is updated. Still, the links are not showing on the translated page.
But when I goto page, then click on "Pen" icon & then markup text containing link then the links are showing on translated page. I have attached screenshot of how the translation works but I can't do that for all pages & for all languages manually.

Hello,

I am trying to reproduce the issue as per your steps, but it seems it works just fine for me.

Can you please video bellow if I am missing something, and share a video from your side with the correct steps.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. I had mentioned that the steps you did in video work for me as well but for multiple pages & multiple languages, it takes time.
What didn't work is the bulk translation or translation using WPML -> Translation Management. I have attached a screenshot of what I meant to say.
If I add a link to the page & translate using this option then the link wasn't translated.
Can you check if you can translate from WPML -> Translation Management?

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

Yes, I have understood and on the test site, there is Translate everything mode enabled, which then translated the page automatically in the background.

So no need to go to WPML > Translation Management and send the page again for translation it is translated. Maybe you are using a different mode, or you are using automatic translation from WPML > Translation Management> Automatic translation > Bulk.

Please check the video that it works fine for me with automatic translation / Translate everything mode:

If you are using different steps or modes, please test on a sandbox if the issue still happens. If yes, please provide me a step-by-step guide or video, so I can understand better.

Thanks,
Drazen

I hope you have looked at the video that I have provided.
In your 2nd video, I think it worked because you copied the same text or same link? Can you try again adding a new link to any of the text?

I just tried adding contact page link to PageMaker in last sentence but that didn't translate.

Hello,

I have looked at your video, but you are using a different approach on your website than the one I set up on the test site. There is a difference between the Translate everything mode and automatic translation in bulk.

Nevertheless, in your last reply, you mentioned: "I just tried adding contact page link to PageMaker in the last sentence but that didn't translate."

So, can we please concentrate on the test site, if you are able to reproduce the issue there and not your web site. That way once I can reproduce it I can escalate to our devs.

I have tried the same on the test site as you suggested but it works fine for me.

Can you please share with me what am I doing differently than what you are on the test site and how can I reproduce it there also?

On my site, I have not enabled "Translate Everything", I am using "Translate Some" because only some pages need to be translated, while others are in English.

I tried creating again but now it was working. But after trying for some more texts, it happened again.

Here's the video - hidden link (You can check it from 2.30).
I thought it was a cache problem, after video I cleared cache but I can't see the link. I checked it on a private window also.

If it still works for you, can we try with the "Translate Some" setting in WPML or on my staging site?

Hello,

thanks for getting back and helping on this. I managed to figure it out and reproduce it constantly. It happens with both modes, and it is probably a bug from our side.

If you add a new URL to existing text, it will not translate it correctly and this issue happens.

But if you add new text to the same segment, in the next translation it fixes this issue with links, maybe you can use this as a workaround until I have more new feedback on this.

I have escalated this to our developers and I will update you when I have some news.

Drazen
