Hi there.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hi there and thank you for the credentials.

Things are looking normal in the backend but it seems that this Ohio theme and the Portfolio plugin might not be fully compatible with WPML (even if they claim it is, things might have changed or there might be specific steps that you need to take to make things working as expected).

I tried to look for support request about this topic that other customers sent to them and I found out multiple ones related to WPML and one related to the portfolio, too:

I'm also attaching a screenshot.

This theme is also missing from our official WPML-compatible repository here:
https://wpml.org/theme/?wpv_view_count=119967&wpv-theme-category=0&wpv_post_search=ohio&wpv-wpcf-recommendation-flag=&wpv_filter_submit=Search

So my recommendation is to get in touch with the developers and see if there are any specific steps that you need to take to make that page show only the portfolio items from that specific language.

Might be some code changes that need to be done in the portfolio page template that is being used for this page:

I hope that you will find this information helpful.

I believe that this theme is fully compatible because it is used by many people and I have already used it several times.

One thing I forgot to mentioned is that I changed the post type of the portfolio after changing the theme.
They used to be 'portfolio' and now 'ohio_portfolio'.
I think this is causing issue with wpml even if I deactivated everyhing related to it before changing them in the database.

Hope that helps

regards

I see.

I created this clean environment for you (one-click login link below):

Can you please reproduce the issue with just WPML installed (WPML is already installed and configured) and the theme or portfolio plugin that you are using?

This way, I can send this further to our compatibility developers.

I will be waiting for your response.

Hi there,

Thanks for your help but I did it in another way:
I was using a theme template which is not fully compatible with WPML apparently.
To make things easier, I am now using shortcode from the theme which is working better apparently.

Cheers
