Tell us what you are trying to do? Is there any documentation that you are following? Is there a similar example that we can see? What is the link to your site? |

Hello There, I understood that you want to set different passwords per language for a specific page. By default, the password of the password-protected pages/posts is set to synchronize across all languages. For that reason, you're having issues while trying to set a unique password for each language. However, I've got a solution for you. To be able to set a unique password for your page or post in each language, you need to disable the "Synchronize password for password protected posts" option inside WPML > Settings and then add the password for the Translated pages/posts. Kindly check this video to understand the entire process: hidden link Let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to assist you. Best Regards, |

Thank you. I updated my settings but I'm still having trouble getting past the Password Protection screen. After I submit the password, the password protection screen just reloads. It does not disappear and allow me to see the content. Do you know why it won't let me get past the password protection screen? |

Hello There, Could you kindly verify if the password for both the default and translated pages has already been updated? If so, please make some minor modifications to the default page(add any character) and update the page. Kindly make sure that the translation for the translated page is also updated accordingly. After that, open the page in incognito mode and check whether the contents become visible upon entering the password. I hope it will work. Let me know after making these things sure. If you need further assistance in this matter, I will be happy to help. Best Regards, |

Unfortunately that didn't work. Yes - the password has already been updated in both the default and translated pages. I made a small edit to both pages and the default page opens, but the translated page still does not open. I tried in incognito mode and it still isn't working. |

I installed the PPWP plugin instead of using WordPress' built-in password protection. Everything is working now with the plugin. Let me know if you can think of why WordPress' built-in password protection isn't working because I'd prefer to use that. The pages are working with the PPWP plugin for now though. |

Hi There, As the Password Protection feature was not working properly with WPML on your end, I tested the feature again and everything works just fine in my development environment. I can add different passwords for the default and translated pages and they are also functioning correctly. I made a video for you so that you can understand how the built-in password protection functionality is working with the WPML. Kindly check this video here: hidden link As everything is working fine in my environment, maybe there is something on your end that was causing the issue. If you could allow me to investigate from your end, I would be happy to check and let you know an update. If it is possible, then kindly share access to your WordPress dashboard with Administrative privileges. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it. Make sure to take a Full backup of your site before sharing the access Looking forward to your response and I'll be happy to help you in figuring out a solution. Best regards, |
