This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using WPML's Pay As You Go service for translating a blog and the service stops working once you reach 99 EUR in credits usage. You are wondering if there is a limit to the Pay As You Go credits usage and how to increase this limit if possible.
Solution:
If you're experiencing issues with WPML's Pay As You Go service stopping after reaching a certain credit limit, it's important to understand that there are safety limits in place. These limits are set at $100 and $4,000 in one month to prevent excessive spending and protect against fraud. Once you reach the first limit of $100, you will be prompted to make a payment before you can continue translating. After making the payment, you can resume your translation activities.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I was trying to use WPML to translate a blog with Pay As You Go activated on the site hidden link.

Symptoms:
As soon as I reach 99 EUR in credits usage, it stopped working.

Questions:
Is there a limit to the Pay As You Go credits usage?
How can I increase the limit if there is one?

Hey there,

If you use pay-as-you-go, there are two safety limits that prevent you from accidentally spending too much and protect us from fraud. These limits occur the first time you spend $100 and $4,000 in one month. If you reach these limits, you will be asked to pay before you can continue translating. At the end of the month, the amount you paid will be deducted from your invoice.

In other words, once you reach the first limit, you will then be asked to pay and can continue translating.

Hello Lucas,

So in this case I need to buy some credits, correct? Is there any way to modify those limits - like increase one to $500 and decrease the other one to $2000?

And also, how can we manage this on a monthly basis? If we exceed, that means we need to purchase a package of credits? Or after the first month there won't be the $100 credits limit?

I want to buy the 40k credits - but there's also this message and I dont know what to do:

"Automatic translation credit packages are non-refundable. You cannot add prepaid credits to sites that use pay-as-you-go."

Hey there,

No, actually PAYG (pay as you go) is one thing and credits is another. Think it this way: PAYG is to pay monthly, as you translate your content, to be charged afterward, while credits is a prepaid option. You can use one or another.

PAYG is billed monthly, unless you reach 100EUR. If you reach 100EUR before the end of the month, you'll need to pay that to continue using PAYG. Let me know if that clarifies it.

"Automatic translation credit packages are non-refundable. You cannot add prepaid credits to sites that use pay-as-you-go."

In this case, if you want to use the credits, the prepaid option, you'll need to pay any open amounts you have, and switch the website to use credits, instead of PAYG.

To disable PAYG and use credits in a website: go to WPML → Translation Management and click the Tools tab. In the Pay-as-you-go account details section, click the Stop using pay-as-you-go link.

Hello,

How can we pay the PAYG so we can continue on that?

Thanks
Andrew
