Hello there,

Thank you for the details.

On the test site, I see WPML is enabled and working properly, is the CPU running on 100% for the test site too?

Or we will need to enable other plugins to see the issue?

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hello.

After some debugging, what we've found out is that the problem originates from the WPML plugin. However, we are not sure of the exact cause.

We've deleted all tables from the database starting with _icl, and uploaded them from an old backup. WE've lost some translations but now all plugins are active and there is not such igh CPU load.

Can you check to confirm that everything is OK now? Is there anything else we can do to optimize the performance?

When you log in and want to do some tests please deactivate the query monitor as it leads to a high page load time, or disables the admin bar on the frontend.

You can try to log in now.

Note: WP-Rocket is building the preload cache now, so the site can be a bit slow.

Hello there,

I checked the settings and it looks okay to me, you can follow the steps as mentioned here https://wpml.org/faq/prevent-performance-issues-with-wpml/ if you like, but this is basically for the front-end of the sites.

You also mentioned that after deleting the tables you are unable to see the issue, so I would suggest you to keep monitoring and report us back if you see the issue again.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks
