Background of the issue:
I'm a professional website developer managing a client's site at hidden link. The site has been operating for years without issues, but for about a month, a fatal error occurs when both the WPML and Elementor Pro plugins are activated. The site is running on MySQL version 10.6-MariaDB and the latest PHP. Memory limits are set with define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '400M'); and define('WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '400M').
Symptoms:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class "ElementorCoreSchemesColor" not found in /home/waltvi6/www/villadelmar.es/wp-content/plugins/houzez-theme-functionality/elementor/widgets/section-toparea-v2.php:157.
Questions:
How can I resolve the fatal error when WPML and Elementor Pro are activated together?
Is there a compatibility issue between WPML and Elementor Pro with the current setup?
please provide a username and login for the staging site, one that was set up on your live site before the migration. I will not be using it to login to your live site, only on the staging site that I set up. I have marked the next reply as private so that you can safely share the credentials in the fields provided.
Thanks for sharing the credentials. On the staging site I set up, you can user your username and login. I disabled all plugins other than WPML and Elementor. I then updated Elementor basic plugin and activated the Twenty Twenty Four theme. NExt, I updated WordPress version. After that, I activated Elementor Pro with no problem, so I switched back to Houzez theme and it is working. I suggest using this testing site to activate the other plugins one at time to see if the error returns. If not, then try updating Elementor and WordPress on your live site and see if it resolves it there as well. Please let me know what you find.
Hi Lauren,
As you can observe the site at hidden link
does not look at all like the original, neither are the real estate options available...so I can't really see any improvement of the current situation.
It likely does not look the same becuase it is in minimal settings. My point here is that the issue is not happening in these settings and with Elementor, WPML and Houzez in general, so you can now begin to reactivate the other plugins to see when the issue returns, hence helping figure out where the conflict is coming from.
