We are wondering if there is a way to see how many tokens / credits we need per site. We keep getting hit but we have hit the number of creidts every single time and then paying more and more money to get more but they dont seem too last. So we are just wondering how many tokens it will use per site so we can the charge our client for this.
You can get the estimated word count for the entire site from the tool in WPML > Translation Management > Click "Word count for the entire site" hidden link
The number of credits you need to translate the entire site depends on the following:
- The number of words that will be translated
- The number of languages
- The translation engine you will use
For example, if you're translating 1000 words into 1 language using DeepL (which uses 2 credits/word). The number of credits will be calculated as the following: 1000 words * 1 language * 2 credits = 2000 credits
You can also pay as you go. At the end of the month, WPML charges you based on the number of credits you used during the month. With this option, your first 2,000 credits are free, and the price-per-credit goes down the more you translate over the month. If you don’t translate anything, you pay nothing.
