Hi there,
I have a english/japanese site and WPML has started handling the translations strangely.

I have manually translated all the pages on my site
e.g

But when I click on the Japanese translation on the English page editor it takes me to the WPML translation editors which shows as blank/0% complete and I am unable to access or edit the existing translation.

Can someone help?

thanks

Hi,

thanks for contacting us.

If you first translated your page manually, you can't edit them in the Translation Editor, so what you see is expected.

You need to disable the WPML translation editor. You can do so opening a page in the original language and switching the editor from there.

Thanks for this, that makes sense.
How do I turn of the WPML translation editor? DO I need to do it for each separate page or is there an overall setting I can choose?

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. Please check the following screenshot. While choosing the WordPress Editor option for translating the posts, we can choose it for the particular Post, all posts of that Post Type(for example Blog Posts or Pages), or all the site content.

Please refer to the following documentation for more details of manual translation and let us know your feedback.
