A.) This is not applicable in all products, in fact most of our forfacing products are simple:
hidden link

B.) Applied, no resolution at all

I have reached out to RankMath to connect the link between this ticket and there

Hi,

The problem is not with links like that: hidden link. They are showing alright. The problem is with links that contain special characters—for example, the translation of the above product into Español (U.S.).

hidden link

This link is resulting in a 404 page.

However, the same product French translation that contains no special characters is shown correctly.

hidden link

If you think there is no connection between the special character in the slug, then please explain to us why: hidden link which contains no special character is working properly, and it is a translation.

And then why: hidden link which contains a special character %e2%80%b3 (″) is NOT working properly.

Please note that my weekend is Friday through Saturday, and I'll be able to see your reply and answer on Sunday.

Regards,
Itamar.

Got it, so you are exclaiming that if there are special characters in the TRANSLATED link, then the original product (even if it does not have special characters), will forward to a 404 instead of the special character TRANSLATED link

To test this theory, I simply

1.] Visited the edit page of the translated product "Petite":
hidden link

2.] Took the " out of the URL and updated. So that converted:
banera-acrilica-con-puerta-petite-28″x52″-71x132cm-tecnologia-de-doble-drenaje
to
banera-acrilica-con-puerta-petite-28x52-71x132cm-tecnologia-de-doble-drenaje

3.] Visited the non-translated version of the product:
hidden link
Used the dropdown to change the language to Spanish (now that there are no special characters in the URL)

CONFIRMED WORKING

To Test Bouncing Out of Spanish I simply:

1.] Visited ellasbubbles.com and changed my language to spanish (es.ellasbubbles.com)
2.] Clicked on "Petite" under the "Bañeras con Puerta de Acero Inoxidable" section

CONFIRMED NOT WORKING

With this in mind, I believe we may need to refresh URL's now that they are all updated to NOT include ″, please advise?

Hi,

I'm glad we can agree that the Language Switcher issue is solved now.

You wrote:

CONFIRMED NOT WORKING

I clicked Petite on the hidden link homepage. Please see the attached screenshot petit-link.jpg. But I got the French page:
hidden link

Can you please confirm this is the problem?

Thanks,
Itamar.

Previously I was experiencing a 404 when performing the same action you did above.

Obviously however, clicking on product in Spanish and being brought to its French Canada translation is a problem.

Is that the confirmation you needed?

PLEASE FIX IMMEDIATELY

Hi,

I just got an answer from our second-tier supporter. He says that the problem is probably with translating the link into Spanish. The correct link should be:

hidden link

But, as you can see in my screenshot, it is pointing to:

hidden link

So, you should edit the homepage translation to hidden link. There, you will most probably find you inserted the wrong link, and you should replace it with:

hidden link

The weird redirection happens because of the wrong link.

I tried to check it myself but could not access your site. I received this error.

Invalid username or password. Please try again.

Please see the attached screenshot.

Please correct the access details and share them with me if you want me to check it. I'm enabling a private message for the next reply.

Itamar.

DAY 28 STILL NO RESOLUTION WITH WPML ----> This plugin has the slowest long term support I have ever encountered. So many message, 0% accomplished

Itamar, you forgot to enable private message reply; let me guess; another day wasted

This process used to work fine before; we don't need to "update links" anywhere. Our USA (.com) website works perfectly fine. So when we translate your plugin you expect us to manually go update all of the links? What type of suggestion is this

I have left a 1 star review for your plugin for now; the support level is just awful

Itamar, get the problem fixed in your next reply

Amit
Supporter

Hi, Amit here, WPML Support Manager.

I have carefully read your ticket and our internal debug process.

I am sorry that this is taking so unusually long. We are doing our best to overcome those compatibility issues faster, but the fact is that because of their nature, the solution does not always lie with us.

To the point of the current technical issue (the home page redirection between languages), I have asked Christopher to open a new ticket for you, and we will assist you there; this will help us keep things organized and not need to read through dozens of voices we already have in this ticket.

I hope that makes sense to you,

Thanks!

Hi Amit, every support ticket I have ever opened with WPML takes this long. This is not "unusual" but considered "standard" in our case.

I have no idea why this concept was split into an irrelevant subject Ticket as that is not the pertinent issue. It shows that nobody really cares about our website, nobody really cares about getting the solution resolved, and that WPML stands on a liquid backbone of dragging issues out until customer fall off. As soon as we actually "press for a resolution" look what happens? Pure chaos, we have the support manager here who is still unable to provide a viable solution and splits tickets into illogical subjects. How dissapointing.

I reassure you that we will not stop pressing. We DEMAND resolution. We will make sure it's known through 1 Star Reviews, forever tickets, as many as are needed. You have woken a complete monster and deserve everything that is brought your way. We have no sympathy for your poor support.

MOVING FORWARD:

1.] I have no idea why your subject line is what it is or this ticket was split. Did you even test our website? Go to hidden link and click around "Support Manager". Try to engage with our products. It's not just the home page, try going here and clicking on products (hidden link). Try other languages. I click on Petite from that previous link and I get brought here (hidden link). Now I am in French language? How is this pertinent to "just the home page" as your poorly written new ticket expresses? Will someone actually give a crap and look into the extensivity of the issue

DO YOU REALIZE WE ARE A LIVE WEBSITE WITH OVER 100,000 VISITORS EVERY DAY? CLEARLY YOU DO NOT CARE

2.] Try browsing the main English website, casually visit (hidden link). Now shift your language back to Spanish. 404 ERORR (hidden link)

3.] Try a completely difference language (hidden link). Maybe access a category page (hidden link). Click on a product from that category (hidden link). WELCOME BACK TO ENGLISH

Do I need to continue? Do I need to make a ticket for every single issue? Do you want 14 tickets on your website? I have over 20 employees in my office I can have them FLOOD your website with tickets?

Or do you want to designate this as an escalated tier case and have someone with any sense of brain cells or awareness try to "Generally" browse our translated website as a true user and obviously witness the obvious issues we are experiencing.

You are now insulting us with your irrelevant replies. We do not care if you are a manager, you offer no comfort.

We want resolution
