Background of the issue:
I am trying to get search results in English on my WooCommerce shop. When I search in the original Dutch page for 'Ape', I get results. On the French site, the search results show up after switching to the translated site. However, in English, the search results page seems to be missing or not working. I have checked my products in the dashboard, and they are fully translated to English and French. The issue can be seen at hidden link.
Symptoms:
When searching for 'Ape' or other terms like 'Cub' or 'Monkey', I only get search results in Dutch and French, but not in English.
Questions:
Why are the search results not showing in English?
How can I fix the search functionality for the English site?
I tried with the terms you suggested, but I can actually see results in English (see screenshot). If you experienced something different, could you please provide some screenshots?
There's a redirect 301 from hidden link to hidden link
Is the shop page even translated? Because I can see the French one exists hidden link but if from there I try to change language, I get again to hidden link
hidden link has a 301 redirect to hidden link so if the page is not translated, or it's in draft, in trash etc the behavior would be excpeted.
Or there's simply a 301 from hidden link to hidden link, you may want to check Yoast's Redirection page and see if something is set up there.
Thanks for the fast reply and pointing me in this direction, the problem isn't solved, but now I know that it is a Yoast problem indeed..
When deactivating the yoast plugin everything instantly worked fine.
Unfortunately I didn't see wrong redirects instantly.. but that's not a problem for you or WPML support in general.
Then all that remains is for me to thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
