Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve the WPML issue where the plugin cannot connect to wpml.org in a new Dev environment behind our firewall. I have already tried the recommended actions without success. The issue can be seen at hidden link.

Symptoms:
WPML plugin cannot connect to wpml.org. I expected no error, but instead, I got this connection issue.

Questions:
What additional steps can I take to resolve the WPML connection issue?
Are there specific firewall settings that need to be adjusted for WPML?

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

Can you try the following steps?

1. Go to Plugins → Add New and click the Commercial tab. Click Unregister WPML from this site.

2. Once the page loads, click on Register WPML. A message asking you to enter the site key will appear. Click on Get a key for this site.

3. In your WPML account, complete the site key wizard and set it to development site.

4. Finally, copy your new key and paste it in the Commercial tab. When done, you can delete your old site key in the WPML account if it exists.

If there is still an issue, please upload relevant screenshots to illustrate the problem.
