This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) jumps to the end of the page after saving a block of text during translation. This issue occurs randomly and not for all text blocks. Refreshing the page seems to prevent the issue from reoccurring for that specific page.
Solution:
1. We first suggested that the issue might be temporary and asked the client to attempt to replicate it, providing clear steps if possible.
2. We noticed that the REST API appeared to be disabled on the client's site, which is essential for some of WPML's functionality. We recommended checking the REST API dependencies here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/rest-api-dependencies/
3. Upon further investigation, we confirmed that the REST API was working on the client's site.
4. We asked the client if the issue persists with the latest WPML version (at the time, 4.6.10) and advised checking for the latest versions in the "My Account -> Downloads" section. We also provided a link to update instructions: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/ and reminded the client to back up their database before updating.

If the solution provided here is not relevant to your case, either because it's outdated or it doesn't apply to your situation, we highly recommend checking the related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket with us.

Hello Andrey,

I have turned off all browser extensions and try with incognito window and the problem is still there.

Is it possible to give me access to your sandbox site to try and replicate the issue? This is the way we have done it for previous issues.

Thanks,

Jorge

Yes, sure. I have created a sandbox site and indicated it in the following private message. Does the issue happen with Firefox, for example?

Hello Andrey,

Here is a new video in which you can see the behaviour of the ATE on a specific page of our site. In this case without minimising the window hidden link

Thank you for sharing this information. I'm going to report this as well. Would you mind using the same staging and creating a new page with similar content to replicate this, too?

Done Andrey. It is clearly an issue with window size changes. It has happened when zooming in and out, and also when inspecting the page.

Several of our translators have reported this issue

Hi Jorge,

Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention. I wanted to let you know that we were able to replicate the issue you reported, and I appreciate you providing different way to replicate it.

Our development team has informed me that they have addressed the issue. However, we don't have an exact timeline for when the fix will be live. Nevertheless, it will be included in future versions of WPML.

Hello Andrey,

We are in version 4.6.10 and now the ATE does not even load on Mozilla/Firefox/Chrome. It keeps loading and loading, but does not get to open it.

We run WPML on 2 sites and having the same issue in both (so it must be a general issue).

Also, the previous problem still persist (ATE seems to open in Opera and we could check it there).

Regards,

Jorge
