At the moment is the store back with no translations for the Astra strings?

How did you remove them?

if yes, we could possibly migrate a copy of the site at it's current state onto our CW servers, then from there attempt to reproduce.

Would you like to proceed with this option?

How did you remove them? - strings translation page - bulk select - delete

Yes let's do all possible to fix this problem.

I can also create staging, and change strings name to "String for wpml debuging #" like we did you your local website, for easier management.
We will need some free translation credits to bulk translate them and replicate exact same steps that I usualy did.

Great, if you create the staging site please start from the site with the current state where the issue is not showing.

Once you have the staging site, share with me the URL and I will add some credits to use for testing.

Thank you for the access details!

1. Credits assigned

2. WPML updated to latest version

3. WPML->Translation Management-> Strings-> filter by domain 'admin_texts_astra-settings

4. Sent for automatic translation

At the moment all strings for that domain have been automatically translated.

During this process the Customizer has not been touched to add translations or change any strings.

Please review and I will await your feedback.

I had to switch to sub foldier installation instead of multi domain. No issue so far.
What should we do from now?

What about trying once again adding translations on the live site exacrtly in this manner ?

Also, make sure before you do that the plugins are up to date using the latest versions from https://wpml.org/account/downloads/

Well, that's exactly what I did before.
Maybe we can try different actions to trigger the issue? Try maybe to access the theme customizer.
I have updated all the plugins and theme including astra pro. No issue so far.

Could the last wpml updates bring more stability maybe?
I didn't see anything in the logs about that astra theme issue, but who knows...

Are you testing in the live site now as well or just the staging so far?

I wonder if removing the string translations completely resolved the issue allowing us to re start with fresh strings in the Customizer that were all input in their default language.
