Hi,
I had just finished publishing the hoteltesoriero.it website.
The translations into French and English worked perfectly, then I translated a string of the theme (Divi), the PRENOTA ORA (book now) button that appears under the header image and now the translations no longer work, we always go back to the Italian one .
What happened? Can you investigate?
Thank you, Simone

After further investigation I discovered that the pages, which they had translated and worked perfectly on the staging site, no longer do. If I edit the page I see the NOT translated contents, but if I go to the translation editor I see all the completed translations.
I also noticed that after validating the translation the update wheel rotates endlessly... see hidden link
What happens?

Hello Simone,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're having and will try my best to assist you in this matter.

Given that the "Prenota Ora" button is a content element, could you please share the reason behind translating the text from String Translation? If you can't locate the text in the Translation Editor, I recommend conducting a thorough search within the Translation Editor itself, as button text is often not immediately visible in the list.

Please try the following and check if that helps to solve the issue.

- Please go to WPML > String Translation and delete the 'Prenota ora' string.
- Now, open the default page in WordPress Editor and make a small change in the title.
- Save the changes and proceed to update the translation.
- In the Translation editor, please ensure that all text has been translated. If you can't locate the "Prenota ora" text, please write the text in the search box within the Translation Editor.
- If that text appears in the result, add the translation.
- Save the translation, clear caches from the site, and verify if the English and French version of the content is showing properly or not.

Please let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi,
The reason I translated that text using String Translation was because automatic translation didn't translate them, and I couldn't find them among the texts to be translated (I may have searched poorly). The automatic translation had translated everything, but that button and others remained in Italian.
Now I have done as suggested, and everything has miraculously returned to normal.
Just one more thing: it seems that the French translation was based on the English one and not the original in Italian, with somewhat misleading results.
For example, it translated 'Book' as 'Livre' instead of 'Réservez,' meaning it understood 'Book' not as a verb to book but as the object book.
Is this normal?"
Thanks, Simone

Hello Simone,
Glad to hear that the translation is showing fine now!

Maybe the Button name was added in an HTML attribute which is why, the Automatic Translation didn't translate that. Automatic Translation will not translate any URL Shortcode or HTML attribute automatically. That's why, you need to search within the Translation editor and translate from there. For more information, check the link below.

The translation results can differ based on the Formality setting chosen for the Translation engine. If the translation isn't as expected, you might need to modify the Formality setting and re-translate the particular word. For guidance on how to change the formality of the Automatic Translation Engine, please refer to the link provided below.

I hope it will help. However, when I checked the French page, I noticed that the name of the button is now set to "Réservez dès maintenant!"

Please let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
