This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
If you're experiencing issues where the selected language does not persist across different pages on your website, and you're using WPML with custom menu items, the likely cause is that these menu items are not properly translated.
Solution:
We recommend translating all your custom menu item URLs and then synchronizing your menu again. You can find detailed guidance on how to do this in our documentation on translating menus with custom links: Translating Menus with Custom Links.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your specific case, please check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We highly recommend opening a new support ticket if further assistance is needed. You can do so at WPML Support Forum.
