This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing a critical error on their website when using WPML for the first time. The error prevents the display of a page as a complete translation.
Solution:
1. Ensure that the current theme is up to date. If the developer is still working on it, they need to debug the theme to resolve the error.
2. Update the WPML plugin and its add-ons to the latest version, 4.7.1, to benefit from the latest bug fixes and improvements. You can check for the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on the WPML site. Instructions for updating can be found here: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/.
3. If updates are not visible, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Commercial tab and click "Check for updates".
4. Remember to back up your database before proceeding.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. justinD-20	Background of the issue: We have a developer creating a site ( hidden link ). We are loading content and trying to use WPML for the first time. On the Translator's tab of the Translation management screen, we see the message: "There has been a critical error on this website.
