This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues where the bundle ID is not correctly pointing to its translated version in WPML, despite being set to copy, this might be similar to the issue we encountered. In this specific case, the bundle ID 20 was not automatically pointing to its translated counterpart, ID 21.
Solution:
We recommend checking the settings to ensure that the IDs are correctly linked for translation. If the problem persists, it may require further investigation by our compatibility team. We will keep the client updated on any progress.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue continues, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

It's already set to copy, we covered this in the beginning of this conversation. If it wasn't set to copy it would not have worked on new (not duplictated) products.

Hi,

I split this ticket because it is not directly related to the previous workaround solution. During my testing in the Sandbox, the issue is that the bundle ID itself is not being pointed correctly. Specifically, ID 20 is not automatically pointing to ID 21, which is the translated version of the bundle. So the problem is not about copying the ID, but about the missing reference to the correct translated ID.

This issue is not related to the workaround itself. We can check internally with our compatibility team to see if this can be handled, but I cannot guarantee that there will be a solution. I will keep you updated on any progress.

Best regards,
Marcel

no worries. I'll just use the workaround where I delete the bundle after duplicaitng the prodcut and ading it again.
