This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are working on translating a Gravity Form on your site and want the confirmation message to appear in French when editing the French translation. However, the confirmation message remains in English even after translating. You also have questions about how automatic translation credits are used and whether you can upload translations as a CSV and map them with WPML. Solution: To ensure that the confirmation message appears in French, please follow the steps outlined in this article on how to Translate Forms with WPML: Translate Forms with WPML. Regarding automatic translation, credits are only deducted for the words that are actually translated by the chosen translation engine. For more details, you can visit:
If you need to upload your translation as a CSV, WPML supports exporting and importing multilingual content using CSV files. For guidance on preparing your import files, please see: Preparing Import Files for WPML Export and Import.

Background of the issue:
I am working on translating a Gravity Form on my site, which is under development. I want to ensure that the confirmation message appears in French when I edit the French translation.
Symptoms:
The confirmation message of the Gravity Form is automatically in English, even after translating.
Questions:
When I use automatic translation, does it count credits even if it is an HTML text or a message where no translation is done?
Does it count all the characters even if the translation is the same as the original?
Can I upload my translation as a CSV and map them with WPML?
Automatic translation should translate only the words included on the page for translation. The credits are deducted based on the number of words translated by the chosen translation engine.
Thanks for your reply well noted. I encounter an another issue. I translate my gravity forms and also use gravity wiz ( an official and one of the biggest gravity form addons on the market).
I use a "live populate" feature to populate some fields in my gravity form.
Yesterday support went into my website to see why i was encountering an issue as the setup worked on their end.
They mentionned that there is a conflict created with WPML strings translation and it doesnt let the field populate correctly.
They will investigate further.
My questions is the following :
1) I saw in the strings the full list that "can" be translated and there some part of the gravity form of hidden field like the following "@{:32:selected[0]}"
When i translate a form can it cause some issues with this ? As now gravity wiz told me to desactive WPML strings. Once desactivated the form works as intented and auto populate all the right information.
When WPML string is activated it doesnt work.
So my question is the following. What might WPML strings do when i auto translate a form ? especially when there are some hidden fields like i have shown you ""@{:32:selected[0]}" like these with different strings.
What do you recommend if i have a lot of strings and need to translate a form ? as now i cant use it . They will investigate further.
