Background of the issue:
Hi, we need to train a non technical person to create and modify translations for pages, postes, custom post types.

We
- cannot use the advanced editor (the one hosted on a domain of yours) for compatibility issues (see https://wpml.org/forums/topic/text-revisions-included-in-xliff-files/). So in WPML > Settings we have chosen the classic translation editor.
- need only one translation interface, all over the site, for alla content types.
- want to always use the "local" (hosted on our website) editor having two columns side-by-side (see attached screenshot)
- noticed that specific editor kicks-in if translations are performed using "WPML > Translations" feature. Unfortunately WPML > Translations llist mixes all the content types, the ordering we have in pages, Posts, etc resulting in a very slow workflow

Symptoms:
Working from pages, posts etc lists (see screenshot 02), we are getting different editors (two columns or "gutenberg") based on the status of the translation (not existing, completed or not. Plus, Cog, Pen icon).

Questions:
HOW can we ALWAYS invoke that editor (see screenshot 01) from pages, posts etc lists (see screenshot 02)?

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry about the unresolved issues on your previous ticket which I worked on.

To make sure that you're always using the "Classic Translation Editor" shown in your screenshot 01, you need to have this option "WPML Translation Editor" checked as shown in the attached screenshot on your posts and pages.

Then, navigate to WPML > Settings > Translation Editor > Choose Classic Translation Editor as shown in the attached screenshot. Once this is configured, opening your posts and page will use the "Classic Translation Editor".
