Page is fully translate: hidden link
original url in english: hidden link
I edit page via WPML Translation Editor (called calssic?).
when I open the translation editor to update translation for this page it's empty and I see all the strings from EN on portugese side (screenshot attached)
how its possible?
what can I do to prevent missing translations?
If you need access to website/server its impossible related to our company policy.
In order to help you, I first need to understand better what were the steps you took.
If you could please answer the following it would be great:
- How was the page initially translated?
- Are the pages connected correctly? You can check that by going to the translated version of the page, under the Languages section, and seeing that is is a translation of the original page
- How was the page initially translated?
Answer: Its regular page build by elementor and the page initially translated via WPML Translation Editor
- Are the pages connected correctly? You can check that by going to the translated version of the page, under the Languages section, and seeing that is is a translation of the original page.
Answer: Yes. its connected correctly. I edit the right page (I double check it)
I understand. It does sound like everything should be working fine.
With the current information I have, I can't know for certain what the issue is.
I understand that your company policy does not allow to grant access to your website/servers.
Would it be possible to have access to a staging/debelopment site, or receive a Duplicator package?
I am sorry, but we do not provide support in this way.
Let's try this.
Send me screenshots of:
- All the steps you are taking
- The relevant pages' Language section (the one on the right side when opening a page in the WordPress editor)
- Your Translation Management tab
If you are allowed, you can also send me a recording to help me see if I can find the issue.
Please make sure to have a working backup of your site before proceeding.
What I would suggest now is that, if possible, we test if this occurs also in a minimal setup. Please try switching to a WordPress default theme and disabling any plugins not related to WPML.
Also, can you share a screenshot of the Portugese page open with the WordPress editor? I want to see if the translations show correctly when not using WPML's translation editor.
If I edit this page regularly by Elementor its loaded correctly with all of the contents.
To create new website it take me some somes (some weeks) to creaste all the env for that. its really needed?
However, without any further details I can't know what the issue is.
If you can't do one of the following, we really have no way of knowing:
- Provide a copy of your website
- Grant admin access
- Recreate the issue in some way accessible to us
I hope you understand this.
One final thing I can offer you is to copy your website onto on of our Cloudways servers. I can guarantee it is 100 percent secure, and as soon as we find and resolve the issue we will erase the copy from our servers.
Please get back to me on what you decide to do.
