Background of the issue:
I have a website with 4 languages: Dutch (main language), English, French, and German. I am using WPML to translate my site. On my English translation, I can translate button links on the homepage and room pages. However, I cannot do this for my French and German translations. The option to translate button links is inconsistently available.
Symptoms:
The option to translate button links is available for English but not for French and German translations on certain pages.
Questions:
Why is the option to translate button links not available for French and German translations?
What determines when the option to translate button links is available?
Welcome to WPML support. Our development team is working to fix the editor issue on our side.
Please try to edit the translation in an hour or two to check the URL translation issue.
To recap here are the steps:
- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- See if this time it shows the URLs?
- I f not there is a search option at the top of the advanced translation editor. Please search for the URL there and see if it shows?
