This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate pages and forms using Gravity Forms from the translations section, but even after completing the translations to 100%, the translation queue still indicates that they need translation or updating. Solution: We recommend performing the following troubleshooting steps in WPML: 1. Clear the cache in WPML. 2. Remove ghost entries from the translation tables. 3. Fix element_type collation. 4. Fix WPML tables collation. 5. Set language information. 6. Fix terms count. 7. Fix post type assignment for translations. You can find these options under WPML > Support > Troubleshooting in your WPML dashboard. Here is a link to the troubleshooting page: WPML Troubleshooting Page.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate both pages and forms from Gravity Forms from the translations section. The issue can be seen on the page: hidden link.
Symptoms:
In the translation queue, once 100% translated, it still indicates that it needs translation or updating.
Questions:
Why does the translation queue indicate that translations need updating even after being marked as 100% translated?
Could you check the frontend of the translated page and see if it's translated?
If it's still showing the untranslated version, I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
Sorry. It looks like a Wordfence warning, right? I uninstalled Wordfence just 10 minutes ago. Can you try again? If you still can't log in, it's possible, though I don't think so, that the hosting provider has access restrictions. I'm asking because I don't have direct access to the server.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but the hosting support team responded as follows. I find this quite strange because the hosting providers I usually use block restrictions by country, which is easier to manage.
If that seems like too much, I can install a copy of the website on my server and run tests there, but I'd like to check the errors on the production website. It's up to you.
The Support message:
The service has certain security rules to limit the scope of attacks against the server where your account is hosted, and the load they may generate.
Among other things, these rules block requests to frequently attacked files, such as the WordPress login, from browsers that don't have certain languages installed. Some of them are:
Spanish
Catalan
Galician
Basque
It's not necessary for all of them to be installed, nor for them to be the primary language; simply having one is sufficient. This measure is designed to prevent bot access and only applies to sensitive areas of the website (access to the public area is not restricted based on these measures).
To access, simply add one of the allowed languages to your browser. For example, for Chrome, you can do so by following these steps:
Go to the menu at the top right -> "Settings".
At the bottom, click Show "Advanced Settings".
In the "Languages" section -> "Add Languages".
Add Spanish to the list (es_ES), or any other Spanish language.
To add them in Mozilla Firefox:
Go to the menu -> "Preferences".
"Content" -> "Languages" -> "Select...".
Here, choose Spanish (the one specified by [es]) or any other Spanish language, and add it to your browser anywhere (it doesn't have to be first).
Regardless of your browser, once you've finished adding the language, clear your cache and cookies and restart the program; you should then be able to access the website normally.
If this causes problems or you're unable to install it, please let us know so we can find alternative solutions, but ideally, follow this procedure.
It's no longer listed on the translation queue when I checked as shown in the attached screenshot. Also, the Retrofit WP forms seem to be fully translated to Portuguese, except the English language, as shown in the attached screenshot here in the Translation Management hidden link . Could you complete the English translation and then let me know if the translations shows up on the frontend?
It's still not working, or I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I translated a page with little content, and the translation manager marks it as translated in both languages, but in the translation queue, it continues to show as pending.
Regarding the form you mentioned, the pending translation isn't shown in the translation queue. I resubmitted it to translate it myself, and it only shows the Portuguese translation as "completed," but there's no way to update the English translation.
I'm attaching a screenshot of a form I just translated to 100%.
On the other hand, there are errors in the "Advanced Translation Editor Error Logs" section.
I have also created a new key for this site in WPML and the errors in the log continue.
Date Event Description WPML Job ID ATE Job ID Extra Data
2025/03/14 7:33:49 AM AMS Server Communication API error missing resource: No sitekey found for this website 0 0 {"errorData":{"status":400,"title":"API error missing resource","detail":"No sitekey found for this website"}}
Could you please generate a new sitekey from your account dashboard here https://wpml.org/account/sites/ ? Then, replace it here hidden link by clicking on the "Unregister WPML from this site" link
I ran some of the troubleshooting options here in WPML > Support > Troubleshooting link as shown in the attached screenshot. I'm able to complete the translation of the WPforms now. Could you retry?

-Clear the cache in WPML
-Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
